Favorite Soundgarden Album – Readers Poll

Chris Cornell
Mary Ouellette, SheWillShootYou.com

Soundgarden will be releasing a box set of their four albums released on A&M Records in late May. The set will include ‘Louder Than Love,’ ‘Badmotorfinger,’ ‘Superunknown’ and ‘Down on the Upside.’ The band’s debut disc, ‘Ultramega OK,’ which was released on SST Records, will not be included in the set.

With the announcement of this box set, we’d like to know which Soundgarden album is your favorite. Their 1988 debut ‘Ultramega OK’ and 1989 follow-up ‘Louder Than Love’ weren’t big hits when they first came out, but have since become fan favorites.

‘Badmotorfinger’ was their breakout album, featuring ‘Outshined’ and ‘Rusty Cage.’ And ‘Superunknown’ was the band’s biggest success, yielding the hits ‘Spoonman’ and ‘Black Hole Sun,’ among others. Their last disc, ‘Down on the Upside’ featured the hit rock songs ‘Pretty Noose’ and ‘Burden in My Hand.’

Currently, Soundgarden are working on their first album in 15-plus years. But in the meantime, vote for your favorite Soundgarden album in the poll below:
