Time has flown by, as Filter are getting ready to reissue their 1999 standout Title of Record for its 20th anniversary. In advance of the Aug. 9 street date, the group is serving up a remix of "The Best Things" from the album done by Dub Pistols.

The reworked version of the song makes the rock track a more club-centric offering while putting the focus on some of Richard Patrick's more higher register vocals. The Dub Pistols remix was done back in 1999 and is considered a rarity, being one of the special additions for the reissue package. You can take a listen to the remix in full below, and if you like what you hear, it'll be made available as an instant grat track starting tomorrow (July 19).

As for Title of Record, the album was the second offering from Filter, coming four years after their debut and now primarily featuring Richard Patrick working with different musicians after Brian Liesegang's exit. The platinum-selling record peaked at No. 30 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart, but enjoyed success thanks to the singles "Welcome to the Fold," "Take a Picture" and "The Best Things."

Title of Record has been remastered and will also be available on vinyl for the first time (as well as CD and digital formats). Both the two-LP set and CD will feature new liner notes from author, journalist and Side Jams podcast host Bryan Reesman. The reissue is coming from Craft Recordings.

All formats will include four bonus tracks: “(Can’t You) Trip Like I Do” (originally recorded for the cult-classic soundtrack Spawn The Album), “Jurassitol” (previously released on The Crow: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), plus remixes of the singles “The Best Things (Humble Brothers Remix)” and “Take a Picture (H&H Remix).” The expanded digital album also offers five additional rarities, including a live version of “Take a Picture,” “The Best Things (Dub Pistols Club Mix)” and more.

Listening to the album again, 20 years later, Patrick reflects, “Title of Record is Filter’s crowning achievement. Our signature album. It’s amazing how much I loved making this record even though it almost killed me.” Check out the 20th anniversary edition track listing below and pre-order the release here.

While Title of Record is getting a second look this year for the 20th anniversary, Patrick has reunited with Brian Liesegang and the current Filter lineup are in the process of working on a fresh new album.
