Five Finger Death Punch seemingly displayed some internal band tension onstage last night (May 1) at the Beale Street Festival in Memphis, Tenn., leading them to cut short their set. The show apparently frustrated fans who voiced their displeasure on social media.

According to some fan-shot video and eyewitness accounts posted on the website The New Fury, it seems like there was some sort of friction between singer Ivan Moody and drummer Jeremy Spencer. At one point, Moody made reference to Spencer's book, 'Death Punch'd,' that was released last year. Some fans were even calling the incident an onstage breakup (see Tweets below), but there's no confirmation of the band splitting up as of now.

Update: Ivan Moody has just issued a statement via Facebook addressing the problems that went down at the show last night, blaming the incident on technical difficulties, but also accepting responsibility for his actions. He also suggests the band let go of some crew members. Along with the statement, the band is teasing a new song apparently called 'This Ain't My Last Dance.' Check out the post below:

A message from Ivan: There were a lot of technical problems last night that were seemingly unsolvable. We had to make...

Original story continues below:

One of the fans in attendance told The New Fury, "Ivan held up Jeremy's book and asked the fans if they had this FFDP book. Then, still mic'd seemingly unknowingly, said, That I had nothing to do with,' directed at Jeremy. Jeremy then threw his sticks and walked off stage, and the band shortly followed. Ivan talked for a minute, threw his mic, and marched off. A few minutes later, Ivan came back, rambled and talked to the fans, and attempted to play around on Jeremy's drumkit, trying to lead a song rather weakly. Jeremy and the rest of the band came back and played a song while sounding completely out of step with each other, while Ivan stayed really close to Jeremy, seeming to talk shit to him. Everyone left again, Ivan threw the mic again. This routine repeated a couple more times until they just ran out of stage time and walked off stage, not to return."

Some of the show's awkward moments are captured in the videos below. For now, FFDP are set to unleash a new album this year and are slated to resume their tour tonight in Houston, Texas. See their full tour itinerary here.
