The wait is over! Foo Fighters are officially back with new music as the band unleashed the brand new single 'Something From Nothing' to the delight of many on Thursday (Oct. 16) afternoon.

The song starts off innocently enough, with a somber opening reminiscent of 'Skin and Bones.' But the song definitely picks up more attitude as it progresses. The guitar riff that pops up at the 90-second mark sounds so much like the one in Dio's 'Holy Diver,' it seems as if it was done on purpose. Building in intensity, Dave Grohl is unleashing the full aggressive scream that fans have come to love by the end of the track. You can hear the song in full above.

'Something From Nothing' is featured on the band's upcoming 'Sonic Highways' album, which is due in stores Nov. 10. The disc is currently available to pre-order via iTunes at this location and if you do so via iTunes, you'll immediately receive access to the 'Something From Nothing' single.

The band recorded the 'Sonic Highways' album in eight U.S. cities, visiting some of America's music capitals along the way. The group then used the interviews they did with local artists and the history learned while visiting each city to help craft the songs on the 'Sonic Highways' album. The band documented the process along the way and their HBO 'Sonic Highways' series premieres Friday night (Oct. 17) at 11PM ET.
