The Red Hot Chili Peppers recently revealed plans to headline a Super Bowl weekend bash at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Now comes word that the Foo Fighters are also bringing the rock to the New York area for one of the biggest entertainment weekends of the year.

The band will headline the Bud Light Main Event concert on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Bud Light Hotel Amphitheater, a heated concert venue constructed across the street from the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. Foo Fighters will be joined on the Feb. 1 bill by country superstars the Zac Brown Band. Dave Grohl just produced the band's next release, appropriately titled 'The Grohl Sessions, Vol. 1.'

The Foo Fighters bash will actually conclude a multi-night run of shows at the Bud Light Hotel Amphitheater, with The Roots, Run-DMC and Busta Rhymes playing Jan. 30, Imagine Dragons taking over on Jan. 31, and Fall Out Boy and Jake Owen taking part in a Super Bowl pre-game bash on Feb. 2.

The Foo Fighters recently made their return to the concert stage, playing a surprise show at a California pizza joint. The gig served as a warm-up for two major performances at Mexico City's Foro Sol stadium. The band has been working on new music of late and a 2014 studio album is expected.
