Foo Fighters’ current single “Run” continues to be a favorite in the Loudwire Cage Match, just finishing off its third victory in a tight match against Nine Inch Nails’ “Less Than.” The track makes great use of softer melody and building intensity before climaxing with a powerful end, and it’s a great lead track from the upcoming Concrete and Gold album.

This week Foo Fighters will face competition from another band exploring the quiet-loud dynamic – Nothing More. “Go to War” tells the tale of a relationship coming undone, as singer Jonny Hawkins alternates between a softer higher register and delivering the forceful power behind the song’s heavier moments. The track is featured on the band’s upcoming disc, The Stories We Tell Ourselves.

So will Foo Fighters continue their run with “Run,” or will Nothing More’s fans “go to war” voting wise and deliver a victory for the upstart rockers? Listen to both songs below, then cast your vote in the poll provided.

(This Cage Match will run through Aug. 21 at 2PM ET. Fans can vote once per hour! So come back and vote often to make sure your favorite song wins!)

Foo Fighters, “Run”

Rules of Cage Match:
Fans can vote once per hour for their favorite song. If a song remains the reigning champ for five straight Cage Matches, it is retired to the Loudwire Cage Match Hall of Fame. With so many great songs out there, we have to give other bands a chance!
