Foo Fighters put the spotlight on Chicago during the first episode of their 'Sonic Highways' HBO series, then played a show at the Cubby Bear near Wrigley Field in celebration of the series premiere. But Foo Fighters aren't done with Chicago just yet, as the band just announced they will perform at Wrigley Field next summer.

The band will take over the historic ballpark for a show on Aug. 29, 2015. Typically, Wrigley Field doesn't host that many concerts, so when it happens, it's someone big. Past years have seen Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel taking over "the friendly confines."

Foo Fighters actually teased the 2015 show following their Oct. 17 Cubby Bear show via Wrigley Field's iconic sign. As concertgoers rolled out of the club, the band's message stated, "Thanks from the Foos …. see you soon!" Check out the photo below:

The band members made the announcement of their show on social media, posing for a photo in Wrigley Field with specially-made Cubs uniforms for each of the band members.

Tickets for the Wrigley Field performance will go on sale Monday, Oct. 27 at 10 AM CT. Check here for the ticketing details.

[Update] In other Foo Fighters news, the band has announced a Friday, Oct. 24 performance at Washington, D.C.'s Black Cat. During the special gig, the band will have a screening of their latest 'Sonic Highways' episode that centers on the Washington, D.C. music scene. After the screening, the band will play a live show. Tickets go on sale at 6PM ET exclusively at the venue.
