Music has always been a family affair with Cavalera. His three sons are all musicians and have collaborated with their father on his various projects. He also plays with his brother Igor in Cavalera Conspiracy.

In fact, Soulfly's new drummer is Max's son Zyon, who actually appeared on Sepultura's classic album 'Chaos A.D.' His in utero heartbeat was heard on the record before he was even born, and now the 21-year-old stickman's drumbeats will be on display for the world to hear.

Soufly's latest album is still untitled, and set to be released this fall. It is being produced by Terry Date (Pantera, Deftones, Soundgarden).

Cavalera's old band Sepultura are also in the process of recording a new album, and released their own in-studio video featuring Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, who makes a guest appearance on the album.
