Frontman Shimon Moore Leaves Sick Puppies

Sick Puppies

Sick Puppies are set to undergo a major change as frontman Shimon Moore has exited the group. The band’s two remaining members — bassist Emma Anzai and drummer Mark Goodwin — issued a statement Monday (Oct. 20) afternoon announcing the lineup change.

In the post, the pair revealed that Moore would be pursuing “other endeavors” while they returned to the studio to start writing for their next album and began the process of auditioning new vocalists. Their full statement on the matter can be read below.

Sick Puppies are undergoing some exciting changes and evolving. Former member Shimon Moore is no longer with the band and is pursuing other endeavors. We are currently in the studio writing material for our upcoming studio album while auditioning new singers. As always, there is nothing we enjoy more than creating and performing music for our fans. Our passion and determination to create and share our music is stronger than ever. We cannot wait for Sick Puppies’ next chapter to unfold and for you all to be part of it.
With respect and appreciation,

Emma & Mark

Moore has yet to comment on his exit from the band or what his next move will be.

Moore and Anzai formed Sick Puppies while in high school in Australia and added Goodwin on drums once they made the decision to move to America to further pursue their music career. The band first came to fame when their song ‘All the Same’ soundtracked a ‘Free Hugs’ campaign video featuring Juan Mann that went viral on the Internet. They then followed with a string of hits while promoting the ‘Dressed Up as Life,’ ‘Tri-Polar’ and ‘Connect’ albums.
