Swedish enigmas Ghost are set to embark on their very first North American tour commencing tonight (Jan. 18) in New York City. Ghost have developed a cult following with their hypnotic hard rock and their odd stage show, which can be best described as an evil mass.

Ghost have proven themselves to be a band to pay close attention to, with their next full-length recently being added to Decibel magazine's 'Top 25 Most Anticipated Extreme Releases of 2012' list. The band will headline a 13-date tour with doom band Blood Ceremony and blackened neo-folk merchants Ancient VVisdom.

"It is with an evil haunting chuckle that we are announcing that we are finally coming to North America," states Ghost's Papa Emeritus. "In the name of Satan, we will conduct thirteen rituals in thirteen different cities throughout the United States and Canada and now we are summoning all of our devotees to partake in these blasphemous eves of black magic."

Ghost have accomplished an incredible amount since their immaculate conception in 2008, signing to Metal Blade Records and securing an early 2011 North American release date for debut album 'Opus Eponymous.' The unholy ministry that is Ghost combine gloomy Satanic rock with an original and incredibly effective pop sensibility.
