Godsmack have been laying the building blocks to their '1000hp' for quite some time now, and the band is taking viewers back to the literal "building blocks" that started the creation of the album in the very first webisode of their '1000hp' making-of video series.

Frontman Sully Erna hosts the first episode, and he reveals that cameras followed the band from day one when the group decided to overhaul their headquarters with a new look. Erna says in the video, "When you have the luxury of your own place, I think it really helps the art improve as well."

The clip starts with Erna giving a tour of the completely stripped workspace and ends with the vocalist showcasing what their headquarters looks like after all the construction and redecorating was done. Of note in the video is the amount of memorabilia from past tours that now adorn "the live room," where the brass sun clock, the devil women artwork and other props grace the walls.

Godsmack's '1000hp' album is due on Aug. 5. Bundle options are currently available for pre-order at the band's website, while the iTunes pre-order goes live on July 22. Look for Godsmack back on the road in the coming months, heading up the 2014 Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival. Dates can be found here.
