The acting bug is striking again. Godsmack frontman Sully Erna, who has turned in a handful of starring and supporting acting roles over the last few years, is planning to use a break in the band's schedule to take part in another movie. According to Erna, he's eyeing some time in early 2016 to film his appearance in the flick.

"There's a company that approached me," Erna told The Pulse of Radio (as transcribed by Blabbermouth). "They're really, really great filmmakers, and they're gonna be doing this really cool film and shooting it in Bulgaria ... And it's a movie about terrorism and international organized crime and stuff like that. It's based on, you know, Russian KGB and, you know, all that whole kind of vibe. Really really cool -- kind of like a darker Mission: Impossible-style movie."

Erna's acting resume includes an appearance of the TV series The Dirt, a starring role in the 2013 film Army of the Damned and upcoming appearances in the Martin Scorsese-produced film Bleed for This as well as another film called Street Level that's expected to arrive around Christmas.

As for Godsmack, the band is winding down their touring in support of the 10,000 hp album. The group just released a new song called "Inside Yourself" via their website, offering it as a free download as a show of thanks to the fans and radio stations that have been supportive of their music.
