Here's an interesting mashup we didn't see coming. In this new clip, "Flying Whales" by French metal titans Gojira is combined with "Fancy" by popular Australian rapper / pop star Iggy Azalea.

If you've been out in public within the last year, you've probably caught an earful of "Fancy," and we apologize for the trauma you've likely sustained because of it. However, YouTube user orbsonb has combined the hit single with "Flying Whales," striking an oddly fluid balance.

The track starts off when Gojira's main "Flying Whales" riff is introduced. Once the song builds up to focus on the massive riff, Iggy's voice comes in. At first, you may be disappointed that Joe Duplantier isn't screaming, "Waters of chaos have invaded all space," but strangely enough, the "Fancy" verse fits the music fairly well.

Soon after, this 'Iggy Gojira' mashup cuts to right before the crushing breakdown that proceeds the "Flying Whales" bridge. Some of Joe Duplantier's vocals are left in, trading back and forth with Iggy singing about Tokyo or something. You may even catch yourself laughing when Duplantier hits the lyric, "I can't believe my eyes / But it's true."

Go on, give it a shot. Click the player above to hear Gojira's "Flying Whales" mixed with Iggy Azalea's "Fancy." Gojira are planning to release a new album in 2015, so stay tuned for updates on the record as news breaks.
