It's time to launch our Greatest Metal Bassist tournament! We're bringing you 32 of metal's all-time best bassists and leaving the decision in your hands to decide who will take the crown.

Late Pantera axeman 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott emerged victorious in our Greatest Metal Guitarist poll and Slipknot's Joey Jordison was voted Greatest Metal Drummer in our most recent tournament. We're halfway there in putting together the ultimate metal supergroup, and the next spot to fill is on the bass.
