Guns N’ Roses may be back with another leg of the “Not in This Lifetime” tour, but Axl Rose took advantage of being in close proximity to his old pal Billy Joel to surprise fans in Minneapolis with a drop in. For the second time in just a few months, Rose played a pair of songs with Joel on the “Piano Man’s” tour.

As seen in the fan-shot video above, Rose sang on a cover of AC/DC‘s “Highway to Hell,” a favorite that Joel has been playing during his shows. Rose’s addition to the performance was a perfect fit given that he filled in as the vocalist for AC/DC in 2016 when Brian Johnson’s hearing woes forced the singer off the road.

The other performance during the Minneapolis set was Rose taking the lead on vocals for the Billy Joel classic, “Big Shot.” As you can hear in the video below, the song fits right in Rose’s vocal wheelhouse, and it drew a great response from the crowd.

After starting this leg of the “Not in This Lifetime” tour in St. Louis this past week, Guns N’ Roses traveled to Minneapolis for tonight’s (July 30) performance. See their current tour schedule here, including some newly announced shows for the fall. As for Joel, you can keep up with his touring here.
