Halestorm, ‘Here’s to Us’ – Video of the Day

Happy Birthday to Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale. The rock goddess turns 29 today (Oct. 10), still quite young for a woman who has been making music for more than 15 years. To celebrate ‘Mz. Hyde,’ Halestorm’s clip for ‘Here’s to Us’ is our video of the day.

‘Here’s to Us’ is the closing track on Halestorm’s second full-length album, ‘The Strange Case Of…’ The video takes a comedic turn after a bit of Halestorm rocking out onstage, as someone hits the elusive “Pre-Show Throwback Mix’ button, turning Halestorm into an ’80s glam act in a high school prom setting. Lzzy’s red perm turns straight as the band goes grunge later on in the clip. Channelling her inner Kurt Cobain, Hale shows off an aggressive side as ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ brown haze coats the video’s background.

Lzzy Hale recently spoke about the significance of ‘Here’s to Us.’ “This year marks the 10th year that the four of us have been Halestorm,” Hale shares during a behind the scenes clip that Loudwire exclusively premiered. “It’s a very special song to the guys and I. We basically wrote it about ourselves and the incredible journey that we’ve been on together.”
