Halestorm's new album, Vicious, will arrive at the end of July. Having already released the lead single, "Uncomfortable," they have now followed it up with the moodier and anthemic "Black Vultures."

While the previous single was an energetic rock 'n' roll burner, "Black Vultures" comes across as more modern with heavy, choppy riffage, tense verses with clean-picked guitars and echo-drenched, gloomy melodies. A brief pause gives way to a raucous pre-chorus, setting up the hook of the lurching rhythm and Lzzy Hale's vocal grit.

Vicious comes out July 27 on Atlantic Records and pre-orders can be placed here. On that same day, Halestorm will kick off their co-headlining tour with In This Moment with New Years Day and Stitched Up Heart rounding out the bill. Both openers will be featured on select dates, so check listings carefully.

The album was produced by Nick Rasculinecz ( Alice in ChainsKornTriviumStone SourDeftonesGhostRush), who Lzzy Hale credits for pushing the band in a more rock-centric direction. There were times when Halestorm felt they had a really solid part, the frontwoman told us in a recent interview, but their producer challenged them, saying  "No, you can rock more. I've seen you live; I know what you can do."
