Hatebreed have a busy year coming up in 2013 with the release of their new album, ‘The Divinity of Purpose,’ which is due out Jan. 29 via Razor & Tie Records.

When we spoke with frontman Jamey Jasta, with the holidays close by, we inquired about the best and worst Christmas gifts he has received.

“Everbody’s asked me what the worst Christmas present is and it’s made me think, I was actually talking to my daughter about this and I said, ‘Have I ever given you anything you’ve really hated? Was there a bad sweater?’ and she was like, ‘No, I pretty much like all my gifts,’ so I’m good in the department of what I’ve given."

As far as what he has received, Jasta states, “I would say the worst gift was probably a Snuggie but my dogs love it and they sleep on it. I just ended up folding the Snuggie around the dog bed and they love it.”

We also asked what were some of his best Christmas gifts, “You know that was probably back in the '80s, we didn’t have a TV when I was a kid and then one Christmas we got a black and white TV and that was mind blowing . I remember watching, I think it was ‘The Incredible Hulk’ TV show.”

The awesome didn’t stop there: “The next Christmas we got a color TV and I couldn’t believe when I saw that show again. Because of the color, I was like, ‘Wow, this is amazing’ - I didn’t even know the Incredible Hulk was green.”

He continues, “Then the year after we got a Nintendo and that was mind blowing - just playing Excitebike, Zelda and all of those Nintendo games, it was awesome.”

Jump ahead to 2012, Jasta talks about the new electronics in his life. “ I got an HD TV now but I don’t really watch anything because I don’t have time, but I am going to watch ‘Game of Thrones’ season three, March 31, that’s what I’m looking forward to the most for 2013.”

The Hatebreed frontman goes on to talk about his ‘Game of Thrones’ obsession: “I’m 500 pages in to ‘Storm of Swords’ and I’m on all of the ‘Game of Thrones’ message boards and chat rooms and blogs. I need to relax with it a little bit.”
