Prog metalers Periphery are gearing up for their forthcoming album ‘Periphery II,’ which is due out July 3 via Sumerian Records. The band has released their debut single off the album, ‘Make Total Destroy,’ while 30 second clips of each song are available on Amazon.com.

The album features guest guitarists such as Dream Theater's John Petrucci, who performs on the song ‘Erised,’ Guthrie Govan on ‘Have a Blast’ and the Faceless' Wes Hauch on the track ‘Mile Zero.’

‘Periphery II’ is just one of two new studio albums the band is set to release. When we interviewed guitarist Misha Mansoor, he said, “The two albums will sound very different and the approach to both albums will be very different because I write a lot of the material and when I write I have no regard for anything other than the instrumental music our singer puts vocals over the top.”

The band will be part of this year’s Summer Slaughter tour along with Cannibal Corpse, Between the Buried and Me, the Faceless, Veil of Maya, Goatwhore and more. The trek kicks off July 20 in Los Angeles, Calif.; go here for a full list of dates and cities.
