Are you counting down the days to Record Store Day's Black Friday promotion? If you're a Stone Sour fan, you likely are, as the band will issue their Straight Outta Burbank covers EP on vinyl specifically for the Record Store Day promo. The band has been teasing songs off the release and we've got another cover for you to check out -- the group's take on Iron Maiden's "Running Free."

As can be heard, drummer Roy Mayorga is having one helluva time behind the kit keeping the beat on the rocking track, while the band delivers some solid metal noodling on guitar and Corey Taylor brings his attitude to the track.

Taylor recently told Metal Hammer, "If you're going to cover something, then you want to make sure you go for the best. It's no secret that I'm a huge Iron Maiden fan because... I mean... it's f--king Maiden, man! They've got so many great songs and I think they've got two vocalists that really led the charge you know. Not to put anything down that they did with Blaze [Bayley], but growing up it was [Paul] Di'Anno and [Bruce] Dickinson for me. So it was just a case of figuring out which tune we wanted to do and 'Running Free' just had the spirit of what we were looking for."

He adds, "It's kick ass, it's driving, it’s got the great Maiden guitar breaks that makes them such a special band. So, once we settled on that song and really got into it, we were really stoked."

The Straight Outta Burbank EP features the band's covers of Bad Brains' "Sailin' On," the Rolling Stones' "Gimme Shelter" with special guest Lzzy Hale, Motley Crue's "Too Fast for Love" and Slayer's "Season in the Abyss."
