Forbidden and Death Angel's guitar tech and tour manager, Dane Wolf was badly beaten in Denver last week after a show featuring Anthrax, Testament and Death Angel. In a statement issued by the band, Wolf was attacked by "a group of thugs, who left him with a "cracked skull and other serious injuries."

The band members are making a plea to the their fans to make donations to help pay his medical expenses. They hope to raise $7,500 to cover Dane's medical and travel expenses. So far, the metal community has rallied together  and ponied up around half the total amount.

After being released from the hospital, Dane Wolf began corresponding daily with his friends and fans. On Oct. 26, he wrote on his support site, "Hey everybody, I'm back at Ma's house getting all the rest I need. My body seems to be healing more and more everyday. I meet with the surgeon tomorrow. If I don't have to go under the knife it is all recovery from here on out."

Wolf's mom, Jenna Wolf, is grateful for the help, but she's continuing to reach out to the metal community since Wolf is not out of the woods. "Please help in whatever way you can by assisting with his medical bills and upcoming travel expenses to and from Colorado when things go to court," she said. "There will be additional medical costs in the future as well, as he continues to recover and requires follow-up care."

Donations are being accepted on GiveForward.com/DANEWOLF.
