The final season of IFC’s Portlandia is set to debut tomorrow Jan. 18 and there’s an all-star lineup of rockers featured in its premiere. Henry Rollins, Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic and Fugazi’s Brendan Canty all join Fred Armisen’s character to reunite their old punk band, Riot Spray.

Plenty of rock stars like Glenn Danzig, Duff McKagan and Eddie Vedder have graced our TV screens for Portlandia, almost making it a right of passage for our favorite legends. Always down to try something new, Henry Rollins plays the aging singer of Riot Spray, with Krist Novoselic on bass and Brendan Canty behind the drum kit.

Fed up with the government, Armisen decides to relaunch his old band to stick it to the man. He thinks the vintage Riot Spray track “I Refuse” will do the trick, so Armisen invites his bandmates to a jam session in his basement. After getting reacquainted with some anti-Reagan and pro-Bruno Mars sentiments, Riot Spray launch into their old track like no time had passed.

Rollins is funny as ever, wanting to put a Bruno Mars spin on hardcore punk vocals, though it was immediately shot down by Armisen. Rollins’ request for herbal tea at the end of the teaser points to some future dissension between bandmates, so be sure to check out the full episode tomorrow night at 10PM local time on IFC.
