Lostprophets Singer Arrested for Child Sex Offenses – Shocking Rock Stories of 2012

On Dec. 19, various reputable news sources broke the news that Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins had been charged with conspiracy to allegedly engage in sexual activity with a child under the age of 13 (with some news outlets reporting the victim as a 1-year-old girl), along with the possession and distribution of "indecent images of children" and "extreme animal pornography."

Watkins, along with two women, ages 20 and 24, have been charged for the offenses. The three have appeared before Cardiff Magistrates' Court and were denied parole. Watkins will remain in police custody until his next scheduled court appearance on Dec. 31.
