Radio rockers Incubus are touring overseas right now, but the band has been forced to cancel planned gigs in Amsterdam, Luxemburg and Frankfurt, which were scheduled for this weekend. The reason for the axed gigs? Singer Brandon Boyd has come down with a case of laryngitis.

The band posted a note on its official website explaining the situation. Boyd is expected to recover, but right now, he has to nurse his voice to prevent further damage. That's common for vocalists that come down with this ailment while on the road. It sucks for fans, but it is a necessary part of the healing process.

Incubus' statement regarding the cancelations is as follows:

"As most of you know, we had to cancel 2 shows earlier this week because Brandon lost his voice with laryngitis and now Mikey got very ill and had to go the hospital. He is going to be fine, but the doctors have recommended that he not play any more concerts. We will do our best to reschedule the dates in 2012.

For those of you who have paid for MYF Meet and Greet Packages we will be contacting you shortly to arrange for refunds. The band appreciates the support of all their fans and apologizes for the inconvenience and disappointment caused by the cancellations."

Loudwire wishes Brandon Boyd a full and quick recovery. Laryngitis is a real pain for singers.
