In undoubtedly one of the most important reunions in metal history, vocalist Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith returned to Iron Maiden after lengthy absences. Smith left Iron Maiden in 1990 after a decade of service and Dickinson took off in 1993, but the duo simultaneously returned to the band in 1999.

With a newly reunited lineup, Iron Maiden embarked on the Ed Hunter Tour, which visited North America and Europe in 1999. With a re-energized Bruce Dickinson and a new three-guitar lineup, the Ed Hunter Tour was only the beginning for a massive revival for the heavy metal legends.
