With the new film ‘Iron Man 3‘ hitting theaters, it got us to thinking about the other definition of an ‘Iron Man’ — that of someone who has managed to persevere and thrive over a long period of time. These musicians definitely deserve the recognition for all they’ve done for this thing called rock and roll and for being able to keep up such a high standard over decades and decades of music.

Loudwire has teamed up with Ultimate Classic Rock and Diffuser.fm to bring you 15 Iron Men of Rock. You can raise a toast to each, but don’t dare think of getting them a gold watch for their service. Besides each of our rockers have managed to beat time anyway to keep on rocking with excellence. Check out our first Iron Man of Rock by clicking the red button below.
