Rocker James Durbin tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Heidi Lowe on New Year's Eve. The couple, who have a 2-year-old son named Hunter, wed at a chapel on the edge of the redwood forest near California's Santa Cruz Mountains.

"We are so in love and happy that we got to share our special day with our closest family and friends,” the couple told People.com. "This wedding was the perfect way to kick off the New Year. We are looking forward to living happily ever after."

Durbin's little man Hunter served as the ring bearer, while wedding guests included some of the singer's fellow 'American Idol' contestants.

A surprise came when Queensryche singer Geoff Tate gave the reception a rock 'n' roll edge. The vocalist performed his band's 1984 tune 'Take Hold of the Flame,' an apparent favorite of Durbin's and his bride.

In November, the 22-year-old Durbin released his debut album 'Memories of a Beautiful Disaster.' Around that time, he stopped by the Loudwire offices to perform a few songs acoustically and talk about the disc. Check out Durbin singing 'Stand Up' and 'Right Behind You' here.

Congrats to James Durbin and his lovely bride Heidi!
