James Iha, the former Smashing Pumpkins and current A Perfect Circle guitarist, will release his solo album 'Look to the Sky' on Sept. 18 via The End Records. The album was produced by Iha and Nathan Larson (ex-Shudder To Think) at Iha’s studio Stratosphere Sound in New York. The song 'To Who Knows Where' is now available for streaming (link below).

It’s Iha’s first solo album since 1998‘s 'Let It Come Down.' "I wanted this record to be more eclectic and reflect all of my tastes which is why it took so long," Iha explains. "It was important to me for the record to be multi-dimensional and complex. Being a part of the Smashing Pumpkins, and working with so many other bands and artists since my last album gave me a fresh perspective on what music could be."

Several musicians guest on 'Look to the Sky', including the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O and Nick Zinner, Tegan And Sara's Sara Quin, Fountains Of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger, Antony & the Johnsons and Television guitarist Tom Verlaine.

"Working with all of these talented people helped the record evolve in great and unexpected ways," Iha explained. "I feel like everything should lead up to something and this is a culmination of my journey"

There’s not a lot of love lost between Iha and his former bandmate Billy Corgan. In a recent interview, Corgan called Iha a "piece of s--t."
