You waited years for Jane’s Addiction's new album, then waited a bit longer when Perry Farrell and the boys delayed the release date for ‘The Great Escape Artist,’ their first disc since 2003’s ‘Strays.’ Now, you're getting some good news, as the band is now streaming the disc for free online at iTunes ahead of its Oct. 18 drop date.

Starting today (Oct. 11), fans can go here to listen to 'Escape Artist,' where it will be steaming in its entirety with optimized sound for one week leading up to the Tuesday release. Guitarist Dave Navarro is stoked about the premiere, saying in a press release, “We are psyched that people will have a chance to hear our whole album before they buy it and we applaud iTunes for standing up for great audio too.”

Fans already got a little taste of the album in June when the band unleashed this video for the tune 'End to the Lies,' and in September when Jane's dropped the video for ‘Irresistible Force,’ its first official single.

Before you hit the "play" icon on iTunes, what should you expect? "It's a strange mixture of that post-punk goth darkness Jane's had [in the past] with Muse and Radiohead," singer Perry Farrell told NME.com. "As much as I want to appease fans and make old Jane's fans love me, I just can’t help myself from moving forward."

Last week, Jane's Addiction appeared on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ to perform two songs: ‘Irresistible Force' and the classic track 'Stop!' Check out video of both performances here.

The band is in the middle of a six-date club show that already stopped in Chicago and Los Angeles for two gigs each. They're gearing up for a two-night stand in New York on Oct. 17 and 18.
