After recently having to sit out a week on Gigantour after being sidelined with walking pneumonia, Jason Newsted and his band are ready to pick up right where they left off.

Although Jason Newsted is not completely healthy yet, the veteran rocker is flexing his muscles and putting his mental and physical toughness on display. Not willing to sit out any more shows on the tour featuring Megadeth, Black Label Society, Device and Hellyeah, Newsted will take the stage again once again starting tonight (July 30) at the tour stop in Everett, Wash.

In a personal message to his fans posted on his Facebook page he shared:

NEWSTED METALHEADS!!! I'm feeling a bit better, this pneumonia bug can last a few weeks sometimes...I gotta keep pushing...the show must go on!! We'll be firing up the metal machine again beginning tomorrow in Everett, WA. We have a couple of very big weeks ahead with Gigantour & the release of our HEAVY METAL MUSIC LP on August 6th!!!!!!! CHEERS & LET'S F---IN ROCK!! See Ya Out There. J

As Jason mentioned in his message, the new Newsted album titled ‘Heavy Metal Music’ makes its debut on Aug. 6. The disc includes the first single 'Heroic Dose.' The album is also the first Newsted release to feature Staind guitarist Mike Mushok. Mushok joined forces with Newsted after the recording of the band's four-song introductory EP ‘Metal’.

Gigantour continues through Aug. 11, wrapping up in Toronto, Canada.
