The 2017 Loudwire Music Awards WENT OFF last night! With rock and metal’s most legendary artists in the building, the ceremony was one for the ages. One such legend in attendance was VIMIC / ex-Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison, who documented his night at the show for us via Twitter.

Jordison may be one of modern music’s most wildly talented drummers, but last night, we invited him to flex his skills as a world-class social media correspondent! The percussionist started off early with a photo of him on his way to the show:

From there, Jordison walked our black carpet to do an interview with our hosts Jamey Jasta and Jose Mangin:

Our backstage area was a who’s who of sonic titans, and Joey found himself running into virtuosic Rob Zombie guitarist John 5, who Jordison calls one of his best friends:

Jordison later made his way to the Blackcraft VIP Artist Lounge, where he met up with even more rockers. You can almost feel the room shake by gazing upon this photo, as Joey hung out with Megadeth drumming colossus Dirk Verbeuren:

Finally, Joey presented the Best Vocalist award alongside Hellyeah / Pantera drumming master Vinnie Paul. After singing Paul’s praises not once, but three times, Jordison revealed to the world that Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington was the winner. Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale accepted the award on Bennington’s behalf, sharing some beautiful words about the late singer and how to embrace positivity instead of beating people down. Check that out at the 2:11:47 mark below!

Thanks again to Joey Jordison for documenting his time at the 2017 Loudwire Music Awards! VIMIC just released the new track “Fail Me (My Temple)” featuring Megadeth legend Dave Mustaine. VIMIC’s debut album, Open Your Omen, will receive a 2018 release date, so keep your eyes open for that!
