Johnny Rotten and the Sex Pistols are punk rock personified. Sure, Malcolm McLaren seized the moment and took the firebrand band under his wing with starry-eyed dreams of fistfuls of cash he'd rake in, exploiting the band's controversial antics along with a rising new trend in rebellious music. Regardless, the band's reputation, defined by Rotten and his foul mouth, represented the crux of punk's image, which has made for some pretty unforgettable moments over the years.

It seems wherever Rotten is, there's an air of toxicity that surrounds him. Seemingly always instigating confrontation, the singer hasn't had much regard for his bedside manner in public interviews and appearances. He dominates conversations with an angsty tone, but met his match when he was featured on an episode of Judge Judy. The notoriously no-holds-barred TV judge halted one of Rotten's tirades and chastised him, commanding a rare apology from the frontman.

Sporting glowing red hair, Rotten was once slated to appear on The Roseanne Barr Show, but got himself tossed out after filming backstage. Engaging in an argument with a staffer, he presented her with the contract that stated backstage filming was permissible. It mattered not, evidently, as the video clip shows him being removed from the set.
