Judas Priest Kick Off North American ‘Redeemer of Souls’ Tour in Rochester, N.Y.

Just a few years ago, it seemed like a remote possibility, but Judas Priest are back onstage, leaving retirement from the road in their rearview mirror. The band kicked off the North American run of their 'Redeemer of Souls' tour in Rochester, N.Y. Wednesday night (Oct. 1), showcasing their new songs amidst some of the band's classics.

The band took over the Main Street Armory and got right into their 'Redeemer of Souls' album, kicking off the set with the disc's opener, 'Dragonaut.' Other new cuts within Priest's set included the well-received 'Halls of Valhalla,' 'March of the Damned,' and their new album's title track, 'Redeemer of Souls.'

The set list was also packed with familiar favorites like 'Turbo Lover,' 'Jawbreaker' and 'Breaking the Law' during the main set, while 'Hell Bent for Leather,' 'You've Got Another Thing Comin',' 'Livin' After Midnight' and 'Defenders of the Faith' made up the two encores.
