Yes Peter Gabriel, Hall & Oates, Linda Ronstadt and Cat Stevens as well as the members of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year, but for true hard rock and metal lovers, the two big inductees were Nirvana and KISS. Luckily both acts are prominently featured in the HBO highlights special that will air this Saturday night (May 31) on the network.

HBO has provided us with a few teaser clips as well as photos from that special night in early April. Watch as Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello offers an impassioned induction speech for KISS in the video provided below. You can also find Paul Stanley's very pointed acceptance speech, as well as a video of Ace Frehley discussing some of KISS' milestones below.

As for Nirvana, the much buzzed-about performance of 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' featuring Joan Jett on vocals with Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear can also be seen above, as well as several photos with Nirvana's special guests.

To see all the action, with not only KISS and Nirvana, but also the aforementioned inductees, be sure to tune in to HBO Saturday night (May 31) at 8PM ET/PT.
