Korn Guitarists Munky + Head Discuss New Album, ‘Secret’ Reunion + More

Korn fans have had a lot to be thankful for lately with Brian ‘Head’ Welch’s return to the band after an eight-year break and news that that their “best album ever” is completed. We discussed those things and more with the band’s guitarists, Munky and Head, in our exclusive interview with the duo at Rock on the Range.

The biggest story for Korn fans these days is the return of guitarist Brian “Head” Welch. Although the recent announcement of his return delighted fans, it also raised a number of questions pertaining to the permanency of the reunion and Welch’s involvement in their now completed 11th studio album, which is expected to see a fall release.

Luckily, we scored a decent amount of time with the band’s newly reunited guitar duo just prior to their 2013 performance at Rock on the Range and addressed some of those as-yet unanswered questions. Topics of discussion included just how long the band has been back as a full unit, learning to play together again and the new album, which singer Jonathan Davis recently tweeted is the best of their career.
