Lamb of God vs. Children of Bodom – March Metal Madness 2014, Quarterfinals

Lamb of God vs Children of Bodom
Epic / Spinefarm

We’ve got two modern metal heavyweights who will face off in the quarterfinals of March Metal Madness 2014. Which one deserves to advance out of the Devil Horn region in the challenge to determine the Best Metal Album of the 21st Century? That’s up to you.

Lamb of God kept their hot streak alive as ‘Ashes of the Wake’ outlasted Black Sabbath’s ’13′ to advance to the finals. The 2004 disc was a true breakout in the band’s outstanding career. Songs such as ‘Laid to Rest,’ ‘Now You’ve Got Something to Die For,’ ‘The Faded Line’ and the title cut have become favorites in the band’s rich history.

They’ll have a big challenge if they want to advance as Children of Bodom‘s ‘Follow the Reaper’ stands in their way. The Finnish five-piece just bested Avenged Sevenfold’s ‘Waking the Fallen’ to advance. ‘Follow the Reaper’ is notable for such metal favorites as ‘Every Time I Die,’ ‘Hate Me,’ the title track and ‘Children of Decadence.’

Now it’s time to pick your favorite. Vote for either Lamb of God’s ‘Ashes of the Wake’ or Children of Bodom’s ‘Follow the Reaper’ in March Metal Madness 2014.

(This poll will end on Sunday, March 23 at 11:59 PM EST. Fans are able to vote once per hour, so keep coming back to make sure your favorite album wins!)
