The second matchup in the March Metal Madness Devil Horns Region pits two of the most respected bands to have emerged in metal over the past decade plus. But which one will advance in the battle to determine the best metal album of the 21st Century? Let the debate begin.

In one corner, you've got Lamb of God, one of the most dynamic live bands going as the outfit is filled with amazing players. Nowhere was that more prominent than on the group's 2004 offering, 'Ashes of the Wake.' The band's fourth release truly found the band focused, with the song 'Laid to Rest' emerging as the disc's standout cut. 'Now You've Got Something to Die For' shows off the band's prowess on their instruments, and the title track and 'The Faded Line' are also solid cuts.

In the other corner, there's Gojira and their 2005 effort, 'From Mars to Sirius.' The band's third release really solidified their standing in the metal community with its fair share of heavy grooves and impressive technicality. The epic 'Ocean Planet,' 'From the Sky' and the jarring 'The Heaviest Matter in the Universe' all succeed in melting faces, while 'World to Come' and 'Where Dragons Dwell' shows some diversity with more melodic vibes.

So there you have it -- Lamb of God's 'Ashes of the Wake' against Gojira's 'From Mars to Sirius.' Vote for your favorite album in this March Metal Madness matchup in the poll below.

(This poll will end on Sunday, March 9 at 11:59 PM EST. Fans are able to vote once per hour, so keep coming back to make sure your favorite album wins!)
