Five Late Summer 2011 Rock Tours You Can’t Miss

Carnival of Madness 2011
The Carnival of Madness 2011 festival tour features a solid lineup of hard-rock acts, with Theory of a Deadman and Alter Bridge serving as co-headliners. Along for the ride are current hitmakers Adelitas Way, Black Stone Cherry and Emphatic. The trek kicks off Aug. 13 in Twin Lakes, Wis., and runs through a Sept. 18 show in Dayton, Ohio.
Honda Civic Tour
This trek isn't quite as 'hard rock' as the other tours on this list, but Blink-182 and My Chemical Romance have been known to get loud in concert. Blink are back with their new single 'Up All Night,' while MCR are touring behind 2010's 'Danger Days.' Manchester Orchestra and Rancid provide select support on the tour, which runs through Oct. 15.
Incubus
Incubus are setting out on an extensive headlining trek in support of their new album, 'If Not Now, When?' Fans will also be able to check out Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello's Nightwatchman project and up-and-comers Young the Giant on select dates. The tour gets started Aug. 17 in Morrison, Colo., and wraps Oct. 9 in Mountain View, Calif.
Rock Allegiance Tour 2011
Buckcherry and Papa Roach co-headline this year's Rock Allegiance Tour, which features a heavyweight lineup of bands. Also pledging allegiance to this trek are Puddle of Mudd, P.O.D., Red, Crossfade and Drive A. The Rock Allegiance Tour kicks off Aug. 24 in Grand Prairie, Texas, and winds down with a Sept. 25 gig in Sacramento, Calif.
Rockstar Uproar Festival 2011
Headliners Avenged Sevenfold bring enough rock themselves, but adding Seether and Three Days Grace results in one helluva rock tour. The Rockstar Uproar Festival 2011 also features Bullet for My Valentine and Escape the Fate on the main stage, while Sevendust, Black Tide and Art of Dying highlight the second stage. The Uproar tour starts Aug. 26 in Camden, N.J., and ends Oct. 14 in Mountain View, Calif.
