Metal Mascot Madness, Round 1 – Vote!

It's that time of year again! March Madness is taking over the world of sports. College basketball and metal music may not have too much in common, but there is one extremely important commonality -- the mascot!

While a team's mascot helps whip the crowd into a frenzy, heavy metal personifications make our heads bang even harder when they make their presence known. And, of course, this brings us to March Metal Mascot Madness 2015!!!

We've rounded up 32 metal mascots and sorted them into our brackets. The goal? For fans worldwide to name the greatest metal mascot of all time. These visual representations of the devil's music come from multiple genres of metal. From metal's very birth, to the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, thrash, power metal, hair metal and even death metal, mascots represent almost every branch of metal's family tree.
