You've heard Marilyn Manson's "The Beautiful People" before, but never quite like this. Singer-songwriter Alexa Melo has taken the aggressive rock classic and turned it completely on its head.

If it's possible, Melo has given the Manson standard an even darker and more twisted sound in non-rock form as it now slinks along with a piano backing and the singer's sexy, slithery vocal. But while the arrangement has changed, Melo also offers some powerful jolts in the right places.

Take a listen to Melo's cover version in the player above, and if you like what you hear, the song is available at iTunes, just in time for Halloween.

Melo released her self-titled album earlier this year and it's currently available via iTunes. Meanwhile, Manson's been supporting his The Pale Emperor album over the past year. It too is available at iTunes. Revisit Manson's original version of "The Beautiful People" in the player below.
