Marky Ramone Pays Tribute to Deceased Original Ramones Members

Marky Ramone is, unfortunately, the only classic Ramones member left. During our recent interview with the iconic drummer, we pointed out that the Ramones may be the first prominent rock band with all its original members dead. Marky couldn't think of another group either, leading to this tribute for his fallen bandmates and friends.

In July 2014, Tommy Ramone passed away at age 65 after a fight with cancer. He was the third original Ramone to die from cancer, whereas bassist Dee Dee succumbed to a heroin overdose. Marky explains how he's never truly gotten over the deaths, also speaking of his father who died the same month as Tommy.
