Georgia metallers Mastodon are prepping for the release of their new album, ‘The Hunter,’ out Sept. 27 on Reprise Records, and the gents have announced they will hold a special, live Q & A webchat on the day of the release from their hometown of Atlanta. Fans will be able to fire off their questions via Mastodon’s official website the day of the chat.

As if that weren’t enough record release fun, Mastodon will also hold their official album release party for ‘The Hunter’ at the Roxy in Los Angeles on Monday, Sept. 26.

As previously reported, Mastodon will embark on one of the most eclectic tours of the fall beginning Oct. 25 in Austin. The trek, which also includes Dillinger Escape Plan and Red Fang, takes the band through various theaters and club venues for a six-week run. Mastodon are also booked to rock the Ed Sullivan Theatre, where it will play ‘Curl of the Burl’ on the Oct. 5 episode of ‘Late Show With David Letterman.’
