Mazda + Hype Machine Bring Hype Hotel to SXSW in Austin

It's that time of year again. Acts from around the world and all genres are heading to Austin, Texas for the annual South By Southwest music conference. And one of the highlights of the music bash will be the Mazda + Hype Machine's Hype Hotel.

Between March 14-19 on 1100 E. 5th Street in Austin, a wealth of acts will be performing, beginning with an opening performance on March 14 by the Great Jalopnik Throwdown.

The Tuesday, March 15, lineup starts at 8PM with Diet Cig, followed by Partybaby, Pumarosa, Hinds, Jack Garratt and finishing up with a 1AM set by Empress Of. There are two sessions on Wednesday, March 16. The day session kicks off at 1PM with Car Seat Headrest, followed by Whitney, Miski, Lower Dens and wrapping at 5PM with Alex G. The night session starts at 8PM with Petite Noir, followed by Kill J, Jones, Kacy Hill, Tunji Ige and the night closer AlunaGeorge.

Thursday, March 17, also has two sessions with N.A.A.F.I. Crew starting the day at 1PM. Blanck Mass, JLIN and DAWN will follow. The night session kicks off at 8PM with Negative Gemini, followed by George Clanton, Dilly Dally, Stealing Sheep, Teklife and the Era Footwork Dancers and a closing performance from Charli XCX and Sophie.

Friday, March 18, opens with Honne at 1PM during the day session, followed by Coast Modern, Transviolet, Gallant and Polica. Dua Lipa starts the night session at 8PM, followed by LE1F, D.R.A.M., Anderson.Paak, Stormzy and wrapping up the night will be SBTRKT.

Finishing out the week on Saturday, March 19, at the Hype Hotel will be Day Wave, Morly and Elf Kid during the day session, with Sunflower Bean, Lewis Del Mar, Chad Valley, Everything Everything, Bob Moses and Health during the night session.
