Megadeth have been in Nashville, Tenn., working on their 15th studio disc. This will be their first album to feature Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler and guitarist Kiko Loureiro, and fans are excited to hear what the new lineup will create. In a recent interview, frontman Dave Mustaine stated that their highly anticipated new disc is “definitely very dark,” but it looks like some surprising aspects have also made their way onto the disc. The group has teamed up with Grammy-winning country singer and guitarist Steve Wariner for a new track.

Wariner told The Tennessean about recording a steel guitar part in studio with Megadeth’s Mustaine. "Worlds collide," the country star said. "It's funny. Imagine Megadeth with steel guitar. That's what I did, and Dave Mustaine is the nicest guy in the world. Isn't that crazy? It's out of my world. You know me, I'm a traditional country guy. But the stuff I played on is awesome." Besides the studio collaboration, Wariner said that Mustaine came out to one of his shows and watched him perform.

The Megadeth frontman has been keeping fans updated on the progress of their 15th studio album via Twitter, where he also let slip that he’s working on a special Killing Is My Business…And Business Is Good! project to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band's debut disc. In a tweet, Mustaine wrote that he is working with producer Mark Lewis, who has worked with the likes of Cannibal Corpse and Coal Chamber, on the project. While he didn’t reveal anything else, he did promise to give us all some details soon.

As for album No. 15, Mustaine tweeted earlier this week that he had just done “a killer overdub in the studio” and that “people will be very surprised” when they get to hear it. We will keep you updated when we know more about the album's title, track listing, release date and more.
