As much as metalheads probably wished Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler would take a permanent spot in Megadeth, the legendary thrash band has revealed its newest touring stickman. While Adler plays on the band's forthcoming album, 'Dystopia,' his commitments to Lamb of God prevent him from playing at select Megadeth gigs.

Megadeth's current Asia tour is being manned by yet another beast behind the kit, Tony Laureano. The drummer has a pretty amazing resume, having performed with Dimmu Borgir, All That Remains, Nile, the Black Dahlia Murder, Skeletonwitch and many others over the years. Laureano has also served as Megadeth's drum tech.

Some fan-filmed footage of Laureano behind the kit in Beijing, China has made its way online, and the dude seems to be a perfect fit:

As for the Beijing show, there's been speculation of censorship from Chinese officials. The tracks "Skin O' My Teeth," "Dawn Patrol" and "Poison Was the Cure" were all performed without lyrics, while concert staples like "Holy Wars" and "Angry Again" were omitted completely. According to the Beijinger, there may have been some of official action forcing Megadeth to stop their set early.

Dave Mustaine addressed the crowd after finishing Megadeth's set with "Peace Sells… But Who's Buying." "Thank you for leaving so that we can come back and play again," Mustaine said.
