Meshuggah Bring Intensity in ‘Break the Bones Whose Sinews Gave it Motion’ Video
Meshuggah's video for 'Break the Bones Whose Sinews Gave it Motion' is a six-minute performance clip, shot in black and white. While on the surface, that might seem like a snoozefest, remember, this is Meshuggah we're talking about. The band could cause the earth's plates to shift, thanks to the force of the metal they make.
There is not much in the way of visual bells and whistles in this clip, but that's just how we (and they) like it. It feels like you caught the band in their rehearsal space while prepping for the biggest tour of their lives. The music is the focus, along with the shadowy silhouettes of the members of Sweden's most notorious mathematical metallers. It's like an intimate, closed Meshuggah show and you got the golden ticket.
Vocalist Jens Kidman, looking ever formidable and sounding much the same, claimed, "We were high on tacos and sodas when we recorded this video.”
Tacos, soda, metal? Ah, that's the breakfast of champions and the nectar of the gods.
