Swedish extreme metal destroyers Meshuggah have released a lyric video for 'Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion,' the first single from their upcoming 2012 album, 'Koloss.' The track is a must-hear for Meshuggah fans, who are sure to experience a brutality-laced, down-tempo and heavy as hell song from the band.

'Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion' is one of 10 new Meshuggah tracks on 'Koloss,' which is scheduled to melt your face on March 27 in North America. The lengthy title of the track is part of a quote by philosopher, physician, organist, and 1952 Nobel Peace Prize winner Albert Schweitzer: "Revenge… is like a rolling stone, which, when a man hath forced up a hill, will return upon him with a greater violence, and break those bones whose sinews gave it motion."

Meshuggah drummer Tomas Haake recently spoke with MSN's metal section Headbang about the purpose of the 'Koloss' album title. "It's not so much like a theme, it's kind of how the overall album is more towards something heavier than anything that we've ever done," says Haake. "We wanted something that had that sound to it, something monolithic, something huge."

Haake continued, "Also a few things that tied into that was the stress and anxiety that a few of us went through up until we started recording this album because of previous sessions where we felt we were doing things the wrong way. That lingers with you, you don't want to do the same mistakes again, you want to save the mental health of a few in the band as well, try to do things another way. So it felt like a colossal thing to get out of the hat this time, even though it went smoother in a lot of ways."

Meshuggah's upcoming seventh full-length 'Koloss' is set to conquer your eardrums on March 27. Check out the lyric video for 'Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion' below:
