Can’t wait to see Gojira and Devin Townsend in February although everytime I see Gojira in concert I end up getting hurt. The first time (at Santos Party House) I got elbowed in the eye, then in the basement of Webster Hall I got kicked in the back of the head – didn’t realize I was bleeding until way after. The bumps and bruises are well worth it – Gojira are one of my favorite bands to see live.

I was at some dive bar a few years ago to see GG Allin’s old band the Murder Junkies. There were like 3 other dudes on the floor slam dancing and I ended up getting my jaw dislocated by a rogue punch to the face. I give thanks to the massive amounts of alcohol I consumed that night for cushioning the blow.

Liz, the Gojira show in the Basement of Webster Hall was nuts! Crowdsurfers smashing into the low ceiling, ripping stage lights off…and it was all captured for their music video for ‘Explosia!”
