This year’s Global Citizen Festival is going to be another massive gathering of music fans. Along with some of pop, rap and EDM’s biggest names, Metallica and Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder will perform in New York City’s iconic Central Park on Sept. 24.

The Global Citizen Festival is unique in that the great majority of tickets are given away for free. Global Citizen instead asks fans to participate in progressive activism to earn points and qualify for a ticket draw, which will happen every two weeks. After each draw, a new group of challenges will appear for potential concertgoers.

Currently, fans can earn points by tweeting at worldwide government leaders demanding change in policy, signing petitions, sending a photo of yourself along with a message to the Education Commission, referring friends to Global Citizen and more.

World class acts like Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Major Lazer, Usher, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Ellie Goulding and Yusuf/Cat Stevens have also been booked for performances at this year’s fest in Central Park. Among the event’s hosts are Chelsea Handler, Hugh Jackman, Seth Meyers, Neil Patrick Harris and Salma Hayek.

As mentioned, the 2016 Global Citizen Festival will descend on Central Park come Sept. 24. To earn your way into the ticket drawing, click here.
