We've got a battle of the mainstream against the underground with heavy metal juggernauts Metallica pitting Scary Guy against Arizona death merchants Job for a Cowboy's Goat Skull. Two very different bands, two very different mascots, but only one will make it to the next round.

Scary Guy was first featured on the Metallica single Live at Wembley Stadium in 1993. Despite making his debut a full 10 years after the band's debut album Kill 'Em All, Scary Guy has won his way into the hearts of the band's fans. He's been tattooed on countless people, serving as a flesh poster board for fans to advertise just how much they love one of the world's biggest bands.

Goat Skull is a natural mascot for Job for a Cowboy. The desert is an unforgiving place where the bones of animals are picked clean by scavengers. Considering the band plays death metal, this imagery fits perfectly. Not many metal mascots represent multiple facets of the band like Goat Skull does, which makes this underdog a formidable opponent.
